Returning to the world of Ed Tech, among an array of other roles, Lindsey DeLorey serves as executive assistant to Dr. Jennifer Williams. From 9-5, she serves as the Public Events and Youth Programs Coordinator at The Children's Museum of Indianapolis. Her work is 50% educational event planning and 50% teen programming centered around social justice, personal development, and youth voice. With a determination to explore every passion she has, Lindsey has bounced around from Washington DC working for organizations including Vital Voices, founded by Hillary Clinton, to writing her undergraduate thesis in Pune, India. During her time in India, she worked for Stree Mukti Sanghatana, The Women's Liberation Movement. Her thesis, "Historic Preservation: A Lasting Legacy of British Colonialism in India," was her first step into the world of informal education and the museum industry. Her goal is to bridge the world of "ologies," specialists and academics of a field, and everyday people. Currently, this means working in Museum Education. Her motto: If you cannot explain a complex topic in a simple, easily understood, way, then you do not understand it well enough yourself.
She credits her inspiration to be her two parents - both educators that identified their "why" and made that their careers in paleontology and art.
